The Angyal Group website sets exactly one cookie, and only if you ask it to by choosing a language. This page says what it holds, how to be rid of it, and — at greater length, because it is the more useful half — everything this site deliberately does not do. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
The one cookie we set
This website sets a single cookie, named angyal-locale. It is a first-party cookie: it is set by this site, read only by this site, and sent nowhere else.
- Name — angyal-locale
- Purpose — remembers which of the nine site languages you chose, so your next visit opens in it
- Contents — a two-letter language code, such as “en” or “ml”. Nothing else. No identifier, no visit count, nothing about you.
- Set when — you pick a language from the switcher. Not on arrival: a visitor who never changes language is never given a cookie at all.
- Lifetime — one year from the last time you chose
- Flags — SameSite=Lax, and Secure whenever the site is served over HTTPS
Because it stores a preference you asked for and nothing more, it is a strictly necessary functional cookie. That is why there is no consent banner in front of it — there is nothing here to consent to that you have not already done by choosing a language.
How to remove or refuse it
Clear cookies for this site in your browser and it is gone; the site then falls back to English until you choose again. Blocking cookies for this site entirely also works — nothing breaks, the switcher still changes the language for the current visit, it simply will not be remembered next time.
Nothing else on this site depends on cookies, so refusing them costs you no functionality beyond that.
What this site does not use
- No analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no privacy-friendly alternative, nothing counting visits.
- No advertising cookies, no ad tags, no retargeting, no conversion pixels.
- No social media buttons, embeds or share widgets.
- No third-party scripts on any page. The web fonts are downloaded at build time and served from our own domain, so loading a page makes no request to Google or anyone else.
- No local storage or session storage, and no browser fingerprinting.
- No consent management platform, because there is nothing to manage.
The server that delivers the site keeps ordinary request logs for security and reliability. Those are not cookies and they set nothing on your device; our privacy policy describes them.
Our apps are separate
Cookies are a web technology, and Merge and Orbyx are not web apps — this policy does not describe them. Orbyx does show ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising identifier rather than a cookie; what that involves is set out in full in the Orbyx privacy policy. Each app's own policy is the authority on what that app stores and transmits.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any third-party script to this website, we will update this page and our privacy policy before it ships — not after — and we will add a consent mechanism if the new cookie needs one. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
